Wasatch Community Foundation Donates $10,000 to Support Heber Valley Campus Students
HEBER CITY, UTAH – Students at Mountainland Technical College’s (MTECH) new Heber Valley Campus will now have greater access to affordable training, thanks to a $10,000 scholarship donation from the Wasatch Community Foundation (WCF).
The donation comes on the heels of the grand opening of MTECH’s Heber Valley Campus, expanding access to hands-on, industry-focused education for students along the Wasatch Back.
The scholarship funds are specifically designated for students attending the Heber Valley Campus, helping make MTECH’s already affordable education even more accessible to local students.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Wasatch Community Foundation for investing in students and the future workforce of the Heber Valley,” said MTECH Vice President Joseph Demma. “Hometown support like this will immediately give more students the opportunity to gain the skills they need to build successful careers right here in Heber Valley.”
“The Wasatch Community Foundation believes that learning never stops. Supporting the trades in our community not only teaches a skill but also provides the launching point for successful, marketable careers,” said WCF Education Pillar Chair, Kathy Carr. “We love that MTECH provides trades that becomes live changing opportunities in our valley. We will continue to be partners in education.”
The new Heber Valley Campus is one of six MTECH campuses that offer programs including Electrical Apprenticeship, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, CDL, Medical Assisting, and more. The campus was established to bring industry-driven technical education closer to students and employers throughout the region.
