Entrance Assessment

You must complete your MTECH application before taking the assessment. Please visit the MTECH Student Portal if you have not already done so. The last entrance assessment is administered two hours before closing.

Most MTECH programs require meeting skill level requirements on the Entrance Assessment prior to registration. The Entrance Assessment measures your reading comprehension and basic math skill levels. This aids in ensuring you are adequately prepared for the basic reading and math principles that will be used in the program you decide to enroll in.

How to waive the Entrance Assessment

The Entrance Assessment may be waived by bringing a copy of external testing or alternative documentation to the testing center for approval. Counselors, Student Services, and Testing Proctors can help determine if the external testing or alternative documentation meets the specific program admission requirements. View program admission requirements here. The entrance assessment may also be waived by emailing the required documentation to transcripts@mtec.edu.
