Group Tours
To request a group tour, complete our Group Intake Form with details such as your preferred date, time, group size, and any specific interests. Please note that tours are based on availability, and submitting the form does not guarantee a specific time is open. After submitting, our Outreach team will review your request and contact you to confirm availability and finalize the details.
Frequently asked questions
We recommend filling out the FAFSA application as soon as you have received your MTECH student ID number. Once you have completed the FAFSA form, please wait five business days for your Student Aid Report (SAR) to become available, then email financialaid@mtec.edu confirming that your FAFSA was submitted. Within two business days, you should receive a response with further instructions.
We also accept scholarships or other forms of financial aid. Once you have completed the FAFSA, visit our Scholarships page, where you can find many opportunities to receive funding for school costs. We also accept DWS Intent to Pay forms, veteran’s aid, private loans, or other options. We do not take government student loans.
Please note that if you are using financial aid to pay for your classes, you will need to register in person at Student Services.
For other questions on financial aid, please contact our Financial Aid department at financialaid@mtec.edu.
Students needing accommodations should contact an Academic Counselor or our ADA Specialist, Nicole Heslington, to discuss what we can provide. Please remember that, due to educational law, IEPs and 504 plans do not translate to MTECH. For more information, please visit our ADA page.
An SSN, ITIN number, or even a high school diploma/GED is not required to register for MTECH. However, you will not be able to fill out your application online. To register without an SSN or ITIN number, visit Student Services in person to fill out the necessary paperwork. Please check with your program coordinator or an Admissions Advisor to find out if you need an SSN or ITIN to receive your program-specific certifications and be employable in that field of study.
Additionally, please note that MTECH is not an applicable SEVP school and cannot sponsor students to receive F or M visas.
High school students must register with MTECH separately from their high school. While your high school counselor can help adjust your schedule, the actual registration process must be completed by you through the MTECH Student Portal. The application process is the same for both high school students and adults. Be sure to indicate your high school during registration to receive free tuition, though you’ll still need to cover course fees and materials. Remember that if your program extends beyond high school graduation, you’ll be responsible for the remaining tuition after graduation. For more details, visit our How to Apply page or contact an Admissions Advisor.
Starting a program at MTECH requires a serious and genuine commitment, especially given the hands-on nature of our courses, where attendance is crucial. The minimum attendance standard across the college is 85%, but some programs have even stricter requirements due to licensure or certification standards. Consider whether you’re ready to meet these demands, including potentially attending classes daily and year-round. While some shorter programs might allow for summers off, most lengthier programs continue through the summer.
To ensure you’re fully informed, we recommend discussing your specific program’s requirements with an Admissions Advisor or your instructor. For information on school-wide breaks, please refer to our school calendar.
