MTECH President Clay Christensen Inducted into COE Hall of Fame as Inaugural Chief Administrative Officer of the Year

LEHI, UT – Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) is proud to announce that President Clay Christensen has been inducted into the Council on Occupational Education (COE) Hall of Fame as the first-ever recipient of the Chief Administrative Officer of the Year award. This honor recognizes his outstanding leadership, vision, and dedication to advancing technical education.

This award, the first of its kind created by COE, celebrates exceptional leaders who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in technical and occupational education. President Christensen’s selection was supported by community nominations, including submissions from MTECH employees and members of the Board of Trustees.

The announcement comes shortly after MTECH’s recent successful accreditation reaffirmation process with COE. The COE review team commended the college for its outstanding performance, further solidifying MTECH’s reputation as a leader in technical education under President Christensen’s expert guidance.

During his tenure, MTECH has experienced unprecedented growth, expanded its program offerings, strengthened its partnerships with industry leaders, and maintained its focus on student success. His attention to empowering students and employees, combined with a results-driven approach, has made a lasting impact on the MTECH community.

“The recognition is a shared honor,” said President Christensen. “It reflects the dedication of our incredible students, faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees, as well as the support of our industry and community partners.”
