MTECH and MountainStar Healthcare Announce Historic Partnership
Mountainland Technical College Students to Recieve Financial Support from MountainStar Healthcare
Lehi, Utah - Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) announced a collaboration with MountainStar Healthcare, a Utah health system with dozens of care locations from Logan to Payson. MountainStare, MTECH announced, has made a generous donation in the form of tuition sponsorship available to students pursuing select programs.
This sponsorship donation will be available to students in MTECH’s Surgical Technology and Radiography Technology programs who are employed or accept employment offers at one of MountainStar Healthcare’s Utah hospitals. The donation is part of MountainStar’s Caregivers of Tomorrow program, launched earlier this year to create more opportunities for Utahns to pursue a career in healthcare.
This opportunity allows for all Surgical Technology and Radiography Technology students to have their tuition and fees paid in full. As part of their education, students will receive hands-on training in MountainStar’s acute-care facilities and gain experience to move to their careers. The sponsorship donation can be used as early as the August 2023 cohort and will provide an opportunity for students to pursue higher education and advanced careers with no student debt.
“When a company such as MountainStar Healthcare reaches out to collaborate on a partnership, it increases the opportunity for student success,” explains Becky Fenton, Associate Vice President of Instruction. “For students to get an education that leads to a career, to be able to finish without student debt, and to have a job when they graduate, eliminates many barriers for students who want to better their lives.”
