While we’re not currently accepting applications, we wanted to let you know that the application periods are within the following dates:

May 15 – June 15

October 15 - November 15

Please review the following to ensure you are prepared for when applications are open.

Prerequisites before applying

Take the entrance assessment

Take and pass the MTECH Entrance Assessment in Math and Reading with a minimum score of 4. The higher the score the better. To waive the assessment, please check with the Testing Center team. Learn more about this assessment.

Complete Intro to Web Development Course or Competency Test

Take and pass the Introduction to Web Development course (90 hours online) or Introduction to Web Development competency test (4 hours online or at testing center). Candidates must complete the competency test with a score of 80% or better. This test link will be provided by the MTECH Testing Center team.

Note: Only applicants who have successfully completed the Introduction to Web Development prerequisite course or successfully passed the Introduction to Web Development Competency Exam are eligible to apply. Students concurrently enrolled in the Introduction to Web Development course may apply if the course can be completed before the application deadline date.

How to prepare for the Introduction to Web Development competency test:
To prepare for the Introduction to Web Development competency test, students have 4 hours to complete the challenge with a score of 80% or better. There will be no retake exam if the student scores below the minimum requirement. We recommend studying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using the W3Schools, JavaScript.info and MDN Web Docs - Mozilla website.
