TrulaCounseling

TrulaCounseling™ provides students with immediate and/or ongoing confidential, 24-hour support, year round for any school, health, or general life concern at no cost to the student. Students can call a licensed counselor from their phone at any time regardless of location.

How to Access:

Levels of Support:
  1. Immediate, real-time support counseling by phone
    • Call TrulaCounseling at 1-800-573-5960
    • Select Option ‘1’
    •  When the TrulaCounseling call center counselor answers, let them know that you are a Southwest Tech student and are seeking immediate support.
    • The TrulaCounseling call center counselor will conduct a brief screening and connect you with a licensed therapist for immediate support.
    • Available 24/7/365 in English, Spanish, and French
  2. Scheduled, on-going support counseling by phone or secure video portal
    • Call TrulaCounseling at 1-800-573-5960
    • Select Option ‘2’
    • When the TrulaCounseling call center counselor answers, let them know that you are a Southwest Tech student and are seeking ongoing supportive counseling.
    • The TrulaCounseling call center counselor will conduct an initial assessment and ask you about the type of therapist you are looking for and any specific concerns you wish to address
    • After that, you will be contacted by a TrulaCounseling licensed therapist within 2-5 days to begin ongoing therapy.
  3. For faculty & staff only: immediate, real-time consultation by phone
    • Call TrulaCounseling at 1-800-573-5960
    • Select Option ‘3’
    • When the TrulaCounseling call center counselor answers, let them know that you are a faculty or staff member with Southwest Technical College and are seeking consultations on where to send a student for support.
    • The TrulaCounseling call center counselor will conduct a brief screening and provide you guidance, if appropriate, on where to send the student for support.
