Joseph M. Demma

Vice President, College Relations

A former Assistant Commissioner for the Utah System of Technical Colleges, Joseph became Vice President of College Relations for Mountainland Technical College in 2018. In his role, he supports the offices of: communications; community affairs; diversity, equity, and inclusion;
government affairs; student success; and workforce development.

Joseph’s two decades of public service began in the halls of the United States House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant. In 2005, he joined the senior staff of Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. as Chief of Staff to Lt. Governor Gary Herbert and later managed Herbert’s historic election as Utah’s 17th Governor.

Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University. He and his wife, Stacy, live in Utah with their three children and a poodle. The College Relations team publishes an annual action plan in support of student, faculty, and
