Dr. Demma leads MTECH’s award-winning student affairs, communications, community affairs, government relations, and Title IX teams. Their approach focuses on building systems that expand access, improve retention, and strengthen student transfer and career placement. Together, they have overseen unprecedented enrollment increases, advanced statewide legislative priorities, developed innovative workforce and university partnerships, and built communication and advocacy strategies that generated hundreds of millions of dollars to support improved student outcomes.
A former assistant commissioner of technical education for the State of Utah, Dr. Demma earned a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and a master’s degree in higher education administration from LSU. In April 2026, he successfully defended his dissertation and became the first person in his family to earn a doctorate.
