Joseph M. Demma

Vice President, College Relations

A former assistant commissioner of technical education for the State of Utah, Joseph became vice president of college relations for Mountainland Technical College in 2018. In his role, he supports the offices of student success, communications, community affairs, workforce development, and government affairs at Utah’s largest and fastest-growing technical college.

Joseph’s two decades of executive-level public service began in the halls of the United States House of Representatives in Washington as a legislative assistant. In 2005, he joined the senior staff of Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. as chief of staff to Lt. Governor Gary Herbert and later managed Herbert’s historic election as Utah’s 17th Governor.

Joseph is also a doctoral student who earned a Bachelor of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, &  Assessment, and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University. He and his wife, Stacy, live in Utah with their three children and a poodle called Emma.
