Holly L. Peterson

Vice President, Instruction

Holly is an experienced educator and advocate for technical education. As Vice President of Instruction, she works with program directors, coordinators and faculty to continuously improve the quality of programs. With a focus on student success, she supports program planning, new initiatives in teaching and learning, faculty development, and the expansion of hybrid education. In her two decades with the College, she has worked to improve the value of the certificates earned by students. She is committed to equality of opportunity through market driven technical education, preparing students for successful careers.

As Mountainland Technical College evolved, Holly has been a faculty member, department chair, and program director. As Vice President of Instruction, she has increased the number of offerings available at the College and advocated for articulated technical education pathways with K12 and university partners. 

A former Utah State University Aggie, Holly graduated in Accounting and Business Administration, and became a licensed educator. She serves as the accreditation liaison with the Council on Occupational Education, and serves on the Commission Review Panel.

Holly and her husband Ken have four grown children, and live in Orem.
