A practical review of how to conduct investigations, including assessing when investigations are necessary, planning and conducting investigations based upon specific allegations (including how to handle complex situations and people), reviewing investigative findings and determining if policy violations have occurred, and how to conclude investigations (including determining appropriate corrective actions and moving the workplace forward post-investigation).

Target Audience: 

HR personnel and anyone who is frequently involved in conducting workplace investigations

Materials:

Each participant will receive a detailed handout outlining the steps for completing an investigation.

Real-Time Live Online Learning:

Participants log on remotely and are able to be taught, ask questions of the instructor, and go through the presentation, similar to classroom training. We will be using Zoom as the platform to conduct the training. Participants will need a device connected to the Internet (Computer, Tablet, or Smartphone) with either an internal or external speaker. To participate further, a camera and microphone would be helpful. Note: with Zoom, a phone can also be used for audio.
