(Lehi, Utah)- Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) was recently announced as the recipient of the 2020 Best of State Award for Technical Education, marking the third year in a row the college has received this prestigious honor.

"Being named ‘Best of State’ for the third year in a row is powerful recognition of the work going on in our classrooms across three counties,” said Clay Christensen, President of MTECH.  “On behalf of our Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and over 5,000 students, we are honored with this award and will continue to strive for excellence in educational delivery.”

The Utah Best of State Program, organized by Utah’s leaders in business, media, and public service, honors organizations committed to excellence, innovation, and contributions to Utah’s overall quality of life.

Among MTECH’s achievements are a high number (99.5%) of students who complete their education free from student loan debt, innovative partnership agreements with Utah Valley University, record growth in student enrollment, and the most efficient operations in the Technical College system.
Mountainland Technical College, one of 16 state institutions of higher education in Utah, serves over 5,000 students across Summit, Utah, and Wasatch counties.
