Health Career Fair 2024

Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) hosted the Health Career Fair 2024 for secondary and post-secondary students. MTECH and eleven other organizations presented, including the Utah Hospital Association, Intermountain Health, Utah Valley University - College of Health and Public Service, and more. The Health Career Fair introduced over 500 students within the Mountainland Region to different healthcare professions, hospital practices, and skills needed to help patients.
Students visited and networked with local healthcare professionals throughout the day to gain insight and knowledge for their future careers. Options for workshops included paramedics, phlebotomy, cardiology, physician's assistant, pharmacy, pediatrics, BioMed, mortician, radiology, emergency care, medical school, NICU, labor and delivery, and prosthetics. Students were able to participate in hands-on activities throughout the multiple informative sessions to expose themselves to daily tasks within their desired careers.
Throughout the fair, students were given a glimpse into different educational paths to fulfill their career goals, including the 16 healthcare programs and certifications offered at MTECH. As students experienced different careers, many students expressed difficulty in choosing just one!
