Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Students will learn theory and principles of the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process. This program will train students to become proficient in welding aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.

- QC10 American Welding Society Entry Level I Welder Certificate in GTAW
Registration Eligibility: Adults only.
Adult Student Registration Availability: Registration is open on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Students usually start the following Monday. To check seat availability, create a new student account in the MTECH Student Portal or call Student Services at 801-753-6282. Min/Max Enrollment: 10-28.
Program Length: 180 Hours.
Times: Mornings, Afternoons and Evenings. See schedule details below.
Locations: Lehi Trade & Tech and Orem Campuses.
Financial Aid Eligible: This program is not eligible for Financial Aid and Veterans Assistance.
MTECH Counselor: Students enrolling in this program must meet with an MTECH Academic and Career Counselor prior to registration. To schedule an appointment please visit mtec.edu/counseling.
Entrance Assessment: Students must take the MTECH Entrance Assessment. The Entrance Assessment is free and takes about an hour to complete. No appointment is necessary. To learn more visit mtec.edu/testing.

Pre-requisite Courses: MTECH Blueprints, Symbols, Testing & Inspection & Thermal Cutting Level I Courses.
