The Foundation was initially formed to fund the needs of the local community by Gene Haas the owner of Haas Automation, Inc., America’s leading builder of CNC machine tools, which he started in 1983. This is a now a billion-dollar company and the extraordinary growth is in lieu of the perception that the United States doesn’t manufacture anything anymore.

The Gene Haas Foundation’s primary goal is to build skills in the machining industry. Applicants will be awarded this scholarship based upon a student’s financial need and their desire for a career in the machining industry. Students enrolled in the MTECH Precision Machining program may begin the Application Process.
