Program Description
Any transfer of prior skills or credit must be approved through Richard Fullmer at AGC. This is a one year, 2000 hour Program that combines on the job experience, with 160 hours of Classroom and Lab instruction in areas such as mechanical care and maintenance of equipment, pre-trip inspections, operating trucks, on the road procedures, driving two, three, four or more axle diesel trucks, driving off highway trucks and using satellite communication devices.

Program Outcomes

  • MTECH Truck Driver, Heavy Program Certificate
  • Journeyman
  • Completion of this Program and Utah State Journeyman Licensure may allow students to apply for transfer credit towards an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in an Apprenticeship Technology Degree at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC)
