Automotive: Vehicle Emissions Course
The Emissions Test Preparation Training is a non-credit 20-hour class designed to help an auto technician prepare for the Utah County Emissions Certification, by gaining a basic knowledge of the automobile engine mechanical, cooling system, fuel system, electrical system, and emission control systems. The material covered in this course will prepare the technician for the Utah County Emissions Test.
Registration Eligibility: Adults and high school students who are age 16 and older and at least a junior in high school.
Registration Availability: This program runs on an Open Entry/Open Exit schedule. Registration is open on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Students usually start the following Monday. Program Length: 20 Hours.

Locations: MTECH Lehi Main and Spanish Fork Campuses
High School Students: Students should coordinate with home high school counselors prior to registration.

Students need to be able to show that they have some mechanic experience.
All students must have a valid driver's license, and is recommended to have a 10th grade competency level in Reading & English. (This is in the catalog.)
