1. Students must satisfy the entrance requirements with the MTECH testing center
  2. Students must have a high school diploma or GED
  3. Students must complete ONE of the following options regarding prerequisites:
    1. Option 1
      1. Complete your Associate's degree (or higher) at any college or university of your choice **Private college degree(s) will need to be verified. Prospective students can look at this list to make sure their college degree accreditation meets the ARRT national registry requirements: https://www.arrt.org/pages/partners/schools-educators/accreditation
      2. Take Human Anatomy with Lab (4 credits) and Human Physiology with Lab (4 credits) and earn a B- or higher in each class. These classes must be taken within 5 years of applying to the program.
    2. Option 2
      1. Apply/Transfer/Attend Utah Valley University
      2. Complete the AAS Healthcare Services degree prerequisites. You will need to take 34 college credits from the AAS Healthcare Services degree list.
      3. Take Human Anatomy with Lab (4 credits) and Human Physiology with Lab (4 credits) and earn a B- or higher in each class 
      4. After completing an MTECH program, you will be awarded 30 credits that will go toward your UVU Associate's degree.       5. If you are transferring to UVU, you may be subject to completing 20 "residential" credits. This means 20 of your credits must be taken from UVU.
  4. Students WITHOUT an Associate's Degree or higher:
    ○ Students may complete their degree at their current college/university. Students must also take and pass Anatomy with Lab (4 Credits) and Human Physiology with Lab (4 credits) with a B- or higher. Classes must be taken within 5 years of applying to the program
OR
    ○ Students must take all the required and elective credits to fulfill Utah Valley University’s AAS Healthcare Services degree requirement. Students will receive 30 credits once they complete the Radiography Technology program. Students will need 19 credits of general studies and 15 credits of elective courses. Students transferring from another college may also have to complete 20 resident credits at UVU. Students are required to take Human Anatomy with Lab (ZOOL 2320 and ZOOL 2325) and Human Physiology with Lab (ZOOL 2420, and ZOOL 2425) as part of their elective credits. All courses must be passed with a B- or higher.
  • All classes must be completed with a C or better except for Human Anatomy and Human Physiology that requires a B- or higher.
  • We recommend the prerequisite classes to be taken from a regionally accredited college or i.e. Utah Valley University, Brigham Young University, Utah State University, Salt Lake Community College, Weber State University, etc. Courses must transfer equally to Utah Valley University.   • After completion of the Radiography Technology Program at MTECH, students will be awarded 30 credits towards the AAS Healthcare Services degree at UVU.
  • Students that completed the prerequisites and the Radiography Technology program will be awarded an AAS Healthcare Services Degree from Utah Valley University.
  • Students that already have their associate’s degree or higher will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from MTECH in Radiography
  • Students must have an Associate’s Degree or higher in order to sit for the (ARRT) National Registry
