Digital Media Technology has passed the one-year mark and even had a level-two Web Design graduate who spoke at MTECH’s winter recognition ceremony. Our students filmed the ceremony. This year MTECH opened a Digital Media program at a second campus in Spanish Fork. Students are compiling impressive portfolios and posting stunning work online for potential employers and others to see.
They have used the Adobe Creative Suite to create marketing pieces for a school competition where the winning piece was a culinary/cosmetology thank-you certificate for school supporters. Our students are learning motion graphic animation. Some are working on illustration projects for pay. Students have instructed their peers in photography, created business plans, and practiced presenting themselves to their ideal employers. Most importantly, they are learning timeless, universal design principles to ensure their work is always of the highest quality.
